THE WBF TITTLE BELT BOXING TOURNAMENT

On the 12th October 2021, Scud Missile Promotion and its partners launched the WBF Tittle Belt Tournament at the G.I.C.C and briefed the media on the tournament that was to happen later on the 29th of October 2021. There are two local boxers, Onkarabile Mothibedi who wants to defend his WBF Super Bantamweight title belt against Moabi Ngaka.

The tournament which goes to local records as the biggest of its kind also had other bouts featuring boxers from countries like South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

There was also there first ever professional women boxing fights as well. The event of its kind was long awaited and it has come to show the growth and progress of boxing in Botswana and it is yet to grow and host even international events as well. Scud Missile

Promotion has promoted two belts before and this was the third one. The promoters even took to sending off its Ring Ladies to South Africa for training. Supporting this event was Coca Cola Botswana, Motor & Glass which also has been providing sponsorship for amateur boxers as well and even the Grand Palm among others. When giving his address, Thuso “Scud” Khubamang the head promotor for the event, stated that boxing was by far the most professional of all the sporting coats in the country he knew it would go far.
