The Hits Maker, Shabzi

Les Shabzi is one trusted performing artist/producer and a song writer originally from Lobatse. He is the man behind A.T.I’s ‘Komiriso’, the new single from Dramaboi called “Go lokile” `which dropped in October 2020 to mention a few. In this Corona Virus Pandemic, some paused, but he decided to continue because he believes the corona virus only affected him financially not emotionally.

What do you have for your fans right now?

Recently released my single titled “Phendula” and it is doing quite well.

What’s your genre and where do you record your music?

I happen to not have a genre because of my expression towards projection of emotions through music so am a one size fits all. I do my own beats and record myself under a label called Decibel Studios.

What is the motive behind your latest single?

The motive behind my latest single “Phendula”’ is technically based on being in tune with the divine power, I have also had dreams that presented themselves to me as premonitions so I was projecting that into a song.

How did people respond to your new song video?

Some say the video is creative and I love that.

How has the coronavirus outbreak impacted your line of work? Where do you avail your music?

I didn’t stop working because am doing what I love so I can’t be stopped by some systemic or political errors and I avail my music from my spirit being.

What do you want to achieve as a musician?

As a musician I want to be able to build myself up so I can help others build up themselves. I learn a lot of new things every day, from music to everything.

Last words to your fans or the readers?

You know, the pandemic kind of paused the progress for everyone. So my last words to readers is “Be in tune with your inner self and give less worry to what’s in the matrix”.
