South Africa Embraces Young Prince

South Africa Embraces Young Prince

He has now penetrated the South African Industry and even got embraced and hailed by big names over one of Africa’s big industries.

The young Motswana who is a musician, actor, TV host and Mc has been ambitiously aiming for the stars in South Africa and went on to be recognised and embraced by South Africa’s Boity as well who seems to have high hopes for the Young Prince. He recently had a chat with CW and this is what he had to say:

How long have you been an actor?
It’s been 4 years now in the acting industry.

Are you in a place in the industry that you would say you are proud of and impressed by?
Yes, I am proud of myself and grateful that I have achieved my goal.

The film and television industry in Botswana seems to be growing slowly, what can you say about this?
I think its lack of support that’s why it’s not growing.

What would you suggest to be done to help grow the industry?

People must start supporting local talent and the government must start funding short films to help grow local talent.

You have worked along many South African productions, may you kindly name some of them and share with us how you managed to penetrate all through there?
I have played on Rhythm City, eTv’s Scandal, Muvhango, 7delaan, Rockville, my other side on Netflix, Generations the legacy. It’s all because of self-determination and hard work that I managed to penetrate through the SA productions.

What are the projects you are working on at the moment?
I am working on a lot of projects. Currently, I am working on opening my own clothing store in Johannesburg.

So being in this industry at this time with corona being a problem, how have things been on your side?
I would say things are not as good as before Covid-19, I used to get more acting gigs but ever since Covid-19 hit us, it’s really hard.

Besides the coronavirus challenge what else have you gone through in your pursuit to greatness?
I went through depression and spiritual awakening, during that time I lost friends and I nearly lost myself due to depression.

Surely there are things you always look at and have a smile about having achieved, what are those?
It really makes me happy that I managed to make my dreams come true, I managed to be on TV like I‘ve always wanted and it shows that I can get anything that I want.

You have worked with big names like Boity, how has that made you feel?
It feels so good and it really shows me that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and work on your goals.

What have you learnt from her?
I have learnt a lot and I would say it’s been a dream come true, I have long wanted to have a mother like her in the industry.

How did you get to become connected to her in the first place?
I am one person who suffers from depression and it’s been 5 years now. I remember when I was going through a lot, her mother texted me to ask how I was doing and how she could help me. I told her everything and I told her I wish Boity could help me, that’s simply how I met Mama Boity.

Have you done any projects together?
Not yet but I know very soon I will collaborate with her.

Who else do you aspire to work with in the industry?
Boity, Connie Ferguson, Cassper Nyovest, Lasizwe, Dj Maphorisa, SHIMZA, Girly Odibodi and Kamo Mphela.

Any last words?
I would like to give a shout out to Mama Boity, Lee Mpaki, Tiffany Metjah and others respectfully including my family for their support.
