Lady Gee releases Hosana
A gospel artist and music promoter, Gaone Selebo aka Lady Gee who grew up with the love of singing is expected to release her new album before end of this month (April). The album is called Hosana and it comprises afro gospel music with eight tracks. It was produced by MSquared and its video is currently out as it already plays on Botswana Television, local radio stations and social media.
The versatile Lady Gee also owns a promotion company called Lady Gee Promotions. Lady Gee who grew up with a good heart and a helping hand, came with a concept of the company which started last year in September with the aim of promoting local artists and helping them realize their dreams. At present, the company has nine local and international artists who she promotes with different genres, including one author, a TV presenter and an actress. The Shoshong native is also an event organizer and she organizes local events such as Annual Gospel Awards which was formed by Mr Joel Keitumele and Mr Bafana Pheto; and Glitz Awards formed by Mr Nkgopolang Tlhomelang. Glitz Awards was launched in March 2020. She is also a committee member of Glitz Awards and organizing team member of Annual Gospel Awards. They host music shows every year and invite some local and international artists to perform at the shows. The last music show was held in 2019 but due to the covid-19, they did not hold any show last year and hopefully this year around August they will succeed
Lady Gee started out as a backup vocalist for other artists until she released her first single in 2017 called Re tla Thaba. She does singing as a passion and it’s a gift she was born with. She has so far shared the stage with international artists like Benjamin Dube. Lady Gee grew up loving music and involved in it to extend that she quit her job in 2005 to focus on producing her own music.
Her vital goal is to become a renowned artist who can feature international artists and be featured as well.
