Kagiso Molomo - A Baker,Motivational Speaker & Student
“Life is what you make it”, a term overly used yet it has ample meaning. Kagiso Molomo proves that the sky is the limit as she pushes boundaries regardless of her busy student life. She soldiers on as an entrepreneur in the pastry business and also does motivational speaking. In interviewing her she let us know who she really is and it was an invigorating, not to mention that her cupcakes truly lived up to her slogan “Allow me to tickle your taste buds.”
“Honestly it wasn’t something I thought of whilst I was in high school. My passion for baking started after I finished my high school studies. The ample time I had whilst waiting for University made me realize that I needed to something with my life. And I thought, why not baking. I won’t lie it wasn’t easy in the beginning but with the support of my friends and family it became easier as time went.
I’ve been baking for approximately 2 years now and I’m loving it as Time goes. I bake muffins, cupcakes, cakes, bun rolls you name it. Being a student and baker hasn’t been easy at all because I find myself having orders to do but at the same time I have to study, but Funny thing is I love it. It makes me feel powerful, and the energy is exhilarating, sometimes tiring but we make it work.
I’ve entered an industry that is saturated, but when God is on your side anything is possible. I’m a powerful young female that’s rising to the top through the baking industry and I’m still going higher.
Alongside being a baker, I also am a motivational speaker who you can come to when you need a young powerful female to motivate people, ladies meetings and church meetings. I am the go to person to call for motivational speaking. We need to start embracing young black females into any industry, be it baking, motivational speaking, and engineering.
My brand aim is to empower all women including plus size to be boldly confident in who they are, believe in their potential give all gratitude to my mother, sister and Dr. Hulela for helping me set up my business.”
