Who is Ricki Renéi and when did you begin your career as musician?
I’m Oreneile Kubyadi aka Ricki Renéi…a 26-year-old young lady from Malolwane village. I’m a promising, upcoming-energetic hip hop and RNB artist, whose mission is to gain fans by providing quality music and entertainment. I started writing songs at a very early age when I was in standard 7. During my school days I used to ditch writing notes, rather I developed a tendency to write songs to the extent that I got into trouble, and I was reprimanded for that.
What do you have for Batswana?
I have a single called “Home Alone.” I have been working with a young chap on this song. My intention is to release it together with its accompanying video, so people should keep their eyes etched on the lookout for that one.
How do you keep your fans entertained on social media?
I keep on posting lot of videos on my page for my fans to interact with. I also have a WhatsApp group where I usually share my freestyles.
What impact do you have in people’s life as a singer?
The kind of music that I make is mostly to appreciate love. So, I would say my lyrics soothes and brings hope to people hence making an impact on their lives.
What kind of support do you get from your family?
The support is so amazing especially from my mother who I regard as a hero; simply because she is my biggest inspiration. Ever since day one she believed in me, likewise my family members are behind me as well even my manager Pixel promotion.
