A PLACE OF WONDER, XIGERA SAFARI LODGE
Built within a shady grove, Xigera consists of luxuriously furnished walk-in tented rooms, with en-suite facilities and outdoor shower. Each room of this Botswana accommodation is raised off the ground offering superb views of the floodplain to the east of Xigera Camp and its attractive waterhole. Each guest’s room has a great view directly onto this floodplain.
The wooden footbridge, a unique feature to Xigera, connects the Xigera Island to the next and is often used by Lion and Leopard moving between the islands, allowing guests great viewing opportunities. Xigera Safari Lodge is deeply rooted in the Okavango Delta, a breath-taking landscape of seasonal floodplains and riverine forests, tawny grasslands and verdant papyrus wetlands. Drawing inspiration from its ancient setting, the lodge rests effortlessly within the wilderness of this World Heritage Site.
Built with sustainability in mind – Xigera is 95% solar-powered – the lodge is equally a unique celebration of African art, culture and creativity: a living gallery of African talent. Xigera showcases an extraordinary collection of pan-African art and design, created by a roster of 76 of Africa’s most globally acclaimed designers. It is a collection that is bold in vision and ground-breaking in its scope, the first of its kind on the continent.
